What is Oxymatrine

Oxymatrine is a quinolizidine alkaloid deduced from the roots of Sophora flavescens, a traditional Chinese condiment used for over 2,000 times. frequently appertained to as matrine, oxymatrine has been shown to haveanti-inflammatory, antiviral, anticancer and cardioprotective goods. As a purified supplement, oxymatrine provides concentrated bioactivity for various health applications.

Sophora flavescens, also known as Ku Shen, contains various quinolizidine alkaloids including matrine, oxymatrine, sophoridine and oxysophocarpine. Of these, oxymatrine is one of the primary active components.
